About Pet Sprucez

Built by people who put the animal first

Pet Sprucez grew from a simple frustration: too many grooming salons treated speed as a virtue and ignored the animal's emotional state. We built something different — a studio where the work only begins when the pet is comfortable.

Founded in Châteauroux, we've assembled a team of six certified grooming professionals, each with their own specialty. Together we cover everything from show-level scissor work to gentle puppy introductions and therapeutic spa treatments.

Core values

Three principles behind every session

01

Safety above all

Every product we use is hypoallergenic and professionally certified. We vet every formula before it touches an animal's skin. Trends don't override safety.

02

Grooming without stress

We follow positive reinforcement methodology. No sedation, no harsh restraints — just trained patience, understanding of animal behavior, and plenty of breaks when needed.

03

Transparency

We believe every owner deserves to understand what's happening with their pet. That's why we share our methods, our product choices, and our knowledge freely — including on this blog.

Camille Fontaine

Studio Director & Senior Groomer

Camille has spent twelve years working with show dogs across France and Belgium. She trained at the École Nationale de Toilettage in Lyon and went on to earn the Fédération Cynologique Internationale grooming certification. Lucas Moreau

Cat Grooming Specialist

Lucas holds a specialist certification in feline grooming and has worked exclusively with cats for the past eight years. He understands that cats respond to grooming very differently from dogs and has developed a slow-paced, session-splitting approach that has transformed even the most reluctant feline clients into regulars.

Portrait of Anaïs Dubois, spa and wellness groomer

Anaïs Dubois

Spa & Wellness Specialist

Anaïs combines formal grooming training with a background in veterinary cosmetology. She leads all spa and ozone therapy sessions at the studio and is responsible for our product selection — every item in our care cabinet has been personally reviewed by her. She also runs the puppy socialization program.

Romain specializes in traditional hand-stripping techniques for terriers, spaniels, and other wire-coated breeds. He trained under master groomers in the UK before returning to France, and brings a deep appreciation for breed standards and coat preservation. He's also a skilled handler of nervous or reactive dogs.

Sophie Blanc

Groomer & Creative Styling

Sophie joined Pet Sprucez after completing her grooming diploma with distinction and brings a fresh eye for creative styling. She handles breed cuts, scissor finishing, and creative coloring sessions using pet-safe, temporary dyes. Her attention to symmetry and detail has made her a favorite among owners who want a polished, photogenic result.

Antoine Mercier

Client Relations & Scheduling

Antoine manages everything that happens before and after a grooming session — appointments, client communication, follow-up care advice, and the studio's home-care consultation program. He has a background in animal behavior studies and is the first point of contact for new clients and owners with nervous or first-time pets.
